How to play
  1. Serve: three round buttons: FLOAT (safe), JUMP (power, more aces) or SHORT (drops just over the net). Press STOP to stop the height bar, then the aim marker, in the green. Your server tosses and runs in: press SERVE when the ring closes on the ball.
  2. Your three touches: press when the ring closes. The three buttons change with the touch. 1st: PASS, or OVER to hit a high ball straight back. 2nd: SET (to the hitter facing the weaker block), QUICK (fast ball to the middle, hard to block, harder to time) or DUMP (tip it over yourself). 3rd: SPIKE, TIP or ROLL.
  3. Read the setter: while their pass is in the air, press READ just before their setter touches the ball (a ring closes on the button). Good timing sends your blocker to the right side for a much bigger block; pressing too early is only a guess.
  4. Block or dig: when they attack, a red ring closes over your blocker at the net. Press BLOCK as it closes to jump, or DIG to keep her back in defence. Watch for tips and roll shots over the block, and don't block late: a reaching block can touch the net.
  5. Libero and subs: your libero (different shirt) replaces the middle blocker in the back row. Players tire during a match: tap SUB between rallies to rest them.
  6. Attack: on the 3rd touch press SPIKE (power, aimed away from their block), TIP (soft over the block) or ROLL (looping to the deep corner), timed on the orange ring. Three perfect touches make a POWER SPIKE.
